Now in our 6th year, every October we bring a quality selection of local & international short & feature films to Paisley, Scotland, offering a weekend to remember for both film lovers and professionals.

Our Selection Process

We're proud to be one of Film Freeway's Top 100 Best Reviewed Festivals

We don't make our selections until the Final Deadline closes. This means every film submitted has an equal chance of winning. Previous judges have included:

The perfect film festival experience! The organisation and communication was brilliant and it was phenomenal to have such a large audience at the screenings. The team's passion for independent filmmaking was clear to see in every aspect of the event. I was delighted to attend and saw many excellent films, met lots of great contacts and was overjoyed that my film 'Left' came away with two nominations and a win for Best Edit. A wonderful platform for filmmakers and I can't wait for next year. Highly recommend The HB Film Festival to everyone!
